When Sempra, an energy company based in San Diego, decided to establish a regional headquarters in Houston, TX, they entrusted the design of the space to the Perkins & Will design team. Situated in the upscale and fashionable Galleria area, the Sempra Houston lobby serves as an impressive display of the potential of natural energy and office space for it’s 100 plus employees. To establish a solid foundation for the area, Perkins and Will opted for Trinity Tile’s terrazzo-look porcelain tile known for its attractive appearance and durability. The chips in this tile beautifully complement the wood tones and colors found in other hard surfaces throughout the space. Because of porcelain tile’s sustainability it perfectly aligns with the goals of Sempra to create a better way to use the earth’s natural resources.
